WEDGE-LOCK WASHERS
Nord-Lock wedge-locking washers utilise tension instead of friction in order to secure bolted joints exposed to severe vibration and dynamic loads.

HOW IT WORKS
When tightening, the bolt’s serrations are embedded into the mating surfaces. As the cam angle a is greater than the thread pitch ß, a wedge-effect is created.
