Shipping & Delivery Policy

We delivery products using local parcel delivery services and Australia post. Shipping costs are influenced by the size and weight of the product and your location. Exact shipping costs are calculated in the shopping cart and will be added to the order total before checkout. Orders are dispatched usually within 1 business day. Shipping times are estimated at between 1 and 4 business days depending on your location.

AX Fasteners Pty Ltd ships goods Australia wide, however at this time we do NOT accept international order through our website.

Sales Taxes

We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within Australia. Each customer shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any other state or country.

Permission to Return and to Receive Credit

Please choose carefully. We do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. However, we may accept return of merchandise ONLY IF IN SALEABLE CONDITION and notification is within 7 days of receipt. Shipping costs are not refundable. Claims must be approved before goods are returned. An RTS authorisation number must accompany any returned goods.

Goods returned without a valid reason are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee or $20 (whichever is greater). Any special orders are non-returnable.

For unwanted merchandise the cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer.

Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise

We will, upon your request, replace any merchandise that is received in damaged condition or as a result of a picking error. No material will be accepted or replacements issued without prior approval to return such merchandise. Filing of claims will be our responsibility.

You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, are different to the product purchased on the website.

Warranty

AX Fasteners Pty Ltd hereby guarantee that AX Fasteners “AX” marked screws sold as Class 3 and Class 4 are coated strictly in accordance with Australian Standards AS3566.2-2002. They meet the corrosion test requirements mentioned therein.

In addition, we guarantee that all AX Fasteners “AX” marked screws conform to the structural and performance requirements of AS3566.1-2002.

AX Fasteners Warranties the aforementioned screws against the loss of structural integrity due to the effects of corrosion or metallurgical defects.

The following provisions apply:

1. The screws are used with a compatible roofing and substrate material.
2. The screws are clearly marked “AX” and are installed correctly.
   
   

The screws are used in an environment that is recommended by the standards set out in.

These terms and conditions cover the warranty provided by AX Fasteners Pty Ltd on their screws marked “AX”.

1. AX Fasteners warrants that the aforementioned products will not suffer loss of structural integrity due to the effects of natural weathering for the warranty period.
2. The warranty is subject to the following conditions being met by the customer:
3. The warranty applies only if the products have been installed correctly in an environment set out in the Australian Standard AS3566.1-2002.
4. The customer must give written notification of alleged defects and access to the site of the defects to be inspected by an AX Fasteners Representative.
5. AX Fasteners will not be under any other liability in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential or special loss or damage) howsoever caused, whether by negligence or otherwise, which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in the supply of the products by AX Fasteners.
6. The warranty will not apply and AX Fasteners will be under no liability if the alleged defect arises from the following:
7. Mechanical, chemical or other damage sustained during handling, storage or installation of the product.
8. Fatigue caused by incorrectly installed or tensioned products and/or fasteners.
9. The warranty is only valid within Australia.
10. The benefit of the warranty may not be assigned or transferred and is personal to the customer and/or the building owner as at the date of installation of the product. All labour costs of removing and returning any products shall be borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed by AX Fasteners.
